Abide Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Abide web application and related features.

1) Acceptance of Terms

By using Abide, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2) Description of Service

Abide provides devotional planning, scripture search, prayer and journaling tools, and optional Google Drive sync/sharing capabilities.

3) User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of content you enter and actions you take in your account/browser.
• You agree not to misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with app operations.
• You are responsible for managing and deleting your own data in browser storage and Google Drive.

4) Google APIs and OAuth Use

• Abide uses Google OAuth 2.0 when you choose Google Sign-In.
• Google user data is used only to enable requested product functionality (Drive sync/sharing and profile display), as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Use of Google API Services is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy.

5) Third-Party Services

Abide integrates with third-party services (including Google APIs and configured AI/scripture providers). Their availability, behavior, and terms are controlled by those providers.

6) Intellectual Property and Content

• App code and branding remain property of the developer unless otherwise stated.
• Scripture text and translations may be subject to third-party licenses and attribution requirements.
• You retain ownership of the journal/devotional content you create.

7) Disclaimers

Abide is provided for devotional and informational purposes only and is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

9) Suspension and Termination

The developer may suspend or discontinue features at any time, including integrations that depend on third-party APIs.

10) Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of Abide after updates means you accept the revised terms.
